Free People strikes again!

Here I am, owning something else Free People is trying to sell. First it was the vintage furry snow boots. Now its my Egyptian Falcon necklace that I recently purchase from Goodwill for $4.99. When I spoke on the Blogger panel at the Bill Cunningham premiere I emphasized you don't have to buy Free People, Anthropolgie or whatever high end labels are out there to look fantastic! Open your mind, give your self a small budget, and I GUARANTEE you will find a freaking replica at a flea size of the cost!
Out the door for under 5 bux. Find the same one in the Free People Catalog for a mere 218 dollars!

I love FP. I love any catalog actually..But what I love even more is looking like a million bucks that totals up to under 20 dollars.

Fist pumpin' again!

Shout out to Nicole of Flaming Hag Folkwear!

Yes! Couldn't have put it bettah mahself! I actually don't love FP just because of these kinds of over-prised knock-offs and life-style pandering, even though the clothes can be super covetable. Good thing I don't have to, 'cos you're proving looking fabulous sans stoopid labels. Power to you chica!

Love!! This!! I'm sick of FP, UO and their corporate ilk making money off the bohemian lifestyle. Indie-washing and approximating a look with made in sweatshop monstrosities! Way to keep it real and let people know to support local, look cooler and spend less!

when you mentioned FP at the panel that evening, i wanted to run up to you and say "no no no! they are copying us! we thrift it or make it and style it and inspire them!" it isn't arrogance or paranoia, it is the truth. FP catalogs are fun to peruse, but i look forward even more to your next inspiring find :)

Oh my gosh! This is the first I've heard of this, but I actually did hear of Urban Outfitters copying an Etsy jewelery seller. But from FP this is disappointing. They admit they go to flea markets and I guess it is to find more than just inspiration! Nevertheless, lovely find.
