Selling vintage by the flower side

Prepping and packing up for my big debut at Relles Florist.
Now to get this out of the house , and into the car.

To pile or not to pile. Luckily I had my man muscles to help me load an unload.
We had to be quick because he had to be at his own Second Saturday shindig in a matter of moments.
How did I end up with all of this? Its not only about the clothes. Atmosphere and personal flair needs to be added to my little pop up shop.
 We're here!
 My cozy corner.
Just a few moments after set up, I had my first customer.
I was so excited and nervous as she was shopping .
I felt like this was a first date.
SOLD! She loved it immediately. Moments later she came running back with dollars in her hand, and the dress on. She told me she is going to wear her newly purchased Equine Bovine dress all night.
Can I please tell you that this is perfect place to be on Second Saturday?
Sara, my sister, my friend forever. She might make cracks at my Laura Ingalls dresses, or my funky Friday night attire and add  "what the hell are you wearing".  But this girl, has my back. She supports me to no end and secretly wants to wear one of my prairie dresses.

My sweet Lisa. I met her at Magpie last year. Every Saturday, she brings me the Wall Street Journal fashion section. As she sits at the bar , sipping her coffee we swoon over the newly crafted clothing being shown. This girl has a eye for great beauty, as she is a beauty herself!

Bella browsing to see what will strike her fancy. Next to her was a troubled customers. She didnt know which one to buy, because she loved them both! I gave her a great deal and she walked away with two new gifts for her niece.
She scooped up a super cute green mini skirt.
Hey Cowgirl!
I love this belt buckle. It was one of my faves for a long time. Time to pass it on .
 Belts, bags and skulls.
Check out my boot fringes! Hand made by my friend Sadie Deluxe.
On a side note, Joe and I are planning a road trip at the end of this summer.
Of course I am already planning on what to wear. These boot fringes will be around my ankles each time time I put on my boots to roam the desert of Arizona, or stroll along a stream in Montana.
Queen of the night. Alicia coordinated this very successful  event.
A gift and a kiss from Equine Bovine.

Forever thankyou to all that offered me deep love and support.

Second Saturday at Relles Florist

Tonight you will enter upon a diverse group of amazing artists , musicians and people like me at Relles Florist.
My first public launch of Equine Bovine vintage. It's a little random and funky, but hey, life is random and VERY funky!
I am learning so much already!
I just invested into a steamer, which seems to work out those wrinkles beautifully. As I am steaming out the creases of my garments and giving myself a facial , I realized how poorly I took care of my clothes. Cramming, piling and putting pressure on delicate fabrics is not the best idea. I found things I couldn't sell due to buttons missing, minor tears and zippers that need to be replaced. So, now I have a pile of potentially great sales that have to be put on hold. Also, keeping the clothes away from any spot in the house that my cat could be near. I love my dear 'ol Beanie, but de-fuzzing the f*ck out of dresses can really get tiresome.  I did order a rad stamp , got some tiny gold safety pins and durable white art paper to make price tags . Another learning lesson. Cut.that.paper.staight! This is something I am not capable of. So, next up, purchase some pre-made blank price tags. Also turns out my organic cotton twine I bought had wax on it, so it was super hard to tie.
I am also a little sad that I got rid of a bunch of my vintage clothes. See, if you know me, I have freak outs. Sell clothes, throw away everything, shave my head, run, yell and scream. I know it can all be replaced with even more treasures, but I kick myself sometimes. Like I said, learning those lessons!
I finally finished everything about 10 minutes ago. Its not much, but it will bloom into something beautiful. After Second Saturday , you will find Equine Bovine goods hanging up with Citizen Rosebud at The Thinkhouse Collective.
So wish me luck friends. I defiantly will be enjoying a cocktail before the Second Saturday social hour.

100% of my proceeds will go to www.jears.org

BTW. I just had flowers delivered to Ed and Janel from Relles. I was able to pick out the beautiful bouquet online at 10 p.m., and have it deivered the next day. Their service was very friendly and prompt.
I will definatley have them be my 'flower people' now .
Oh, why were Ed and Janel receiving flowers?
To welcome this cute little meatball into our lives.

Thankyou Relles family for inviting me to be apart of your vision.

Hungry like the Wolf..Tiger or Birdie.

Hey guys! Its sooo beautiful outside. So Joe and I are off to have a brew and soak up some rays.
But, yesterday I think I soaked up too much while I was horseback riding and got myself all pink on the outside! OUCH!
Meeooow! I recently purchased this from Citizens of Rosebud boutique. Her stuff pretty much kicks ass, and I never leave empty handed. If you are interested in some shopping , email me. Lets RSVP to the next event, and skip~ to~my~ lou too your next vintage haven!
Trying to show you my awesome bat wing lace shirt .
Stories of Japanese disco and Yoko Ono are great to bring back from SXSW. But, Joe also brought me back some goodies from one of my favorite shops. Laced with Romance! Eeeeik!

Does this guy know me, or what. Love him.
I have been wanting a pair of slip on Mocs for days! But it seems impossible to find a used pair around town. I love wearing leather, but I prefer to not purchase 'new' leather products. No sense in demanding more production of unnecessary slaughter, when I can wait patiently and find a used pair.
But my patience was running thin, so I clicked 'confirm' on a etsy purchase from Vintage Shoe Love.
They were used, and all in one piece until Birdie girl got ahold of them the first 5 minutes I turned my back. She chewed off all the fringe and ties on the right shoe..ZOINKS!
Well, gotta make some lemonade now. So I cut the other fringe off , and taa-daa ..I should email Urban Outfitters about this new look :)

Happy Weekend ya'll!

Exquisite Creatures

Pam of 2ETN. A instant friend, a forever long sister and one of the most caring , brilliant , beautiful woman I have ever met. We met at the Launch party in Sacramento. I swooned over her Raquel Allegra dress , and her insanely beautiful hand crafted jewelry. I purchased a necklace from her and it quickly became my favorite. Not to mention a favorite of any person I bumped into. I have never received so many compliments on a necklace before, until I started wearing my latest 2ETN everyday for the past 2 weeks.

For my birthday she gifted me the most breath taking piece of her heart . Some one pinch me please. I was stunned. I opened in front of my friend Bella, and I couldn't breathe. I think I was in shock for a day or so after that. It has been obsessively wrapped around my neck ever since.

RQ Bella since has interviewed Pam for the Midtown Monthly. Pam expresses her inspirations , living and designing in  Sacramento, and her commitment to the Adopt-a-Buffalo campaign.

~Finished reading it? Told you , she is amazing!

"We’re inspired by the pre-photography art of miniatures, especially Mourning and Memory jewelry from the late 1800s."

"Our inspirations are fairly consistent: an awe of Nature, a love of history, an appreciation for slow processes, and craftsmanship."

"The buffalo was the primary source of survival, both physical and spiritual. The buffalo provided food, clothing, shelter, a purpose to their existence and a sacred object of reverence." - Powers 1986

Citizens of Rosebud

Unite!
Now, shop!

Citizen Rosebud Black Friday sale.
Parking was a breeze!

Up theses stairs , lies a studio flat stocked with 4 rooms of vintage and handmade clothing.
Can you hear my heart race?
Hello! My sweet lindsay of 'Lindsay Lindsay 23'
What a god damn goddess she is.
Lindsays future creations will be made from this...
and fashioned together with that...
I could hardly breathe when I walked in . The studio had the best light, great flow and sweet loving energy racing thru it. I didnt know where to start , so I ran around like JoJo the circus monkey for a few minutes.

RQ giving the tour . This was the 3-5 dollar room
Another room that is not pictured had racks of 5-15 dollar items.

Vintage lingerie, coats, dresses and capes await.
Peek a boo! I see vintage shoes!

With every purchase receive a cup of Chamomile tea, potato and egg plate.
Oh , I cant forget about the massage!
I felt like a Queen!
The Goddess and her costumes that were custom made for the Pamela Hayes Ballet Troupe of Sacramento Ballet. A night of Ballet performed to live music in 4 acts. It was incredible!

My first Lindsay Lindsay 23 purchase. Huge lover of reconstructed lace!

A Citizen Rosebud ordinal. RQ informed me that this was one of her very first designs!
I have been so inspired to wear floral garments . Possibly because I feel like I bloom during the low sun months, or influenced by RQ's recent Essence of Fall event at Vogue gone Rogue.

If some one asked me what is your inspiration for what you wear everyday , I would say "nature, birds, animals, plants, mountains, rivers, rocks , fish, streams, clouds, soft dirt, pine cones, Shoshone tribes, fur, cabins, bears, cords of wood, the desert ,over grown gardens, plaid and lace." Truly, the list is infinity. I know that is a big mess of nothing, but to me it brings a dream of country life to my city livin'.
So when I spotted this purse, I instantly thought of a fishing creel! How wonderful. Now when I wear it, I think about sitting by the river bank, fishing for tonights dinner.
